Two thousand years have come and gone
Since first Christ Jesus came
As Heaven's Lamb, God's only Son
Cancelling debts of shame
Salvation, offering mankind
Shameful in Satan's bed
Deaf to God's truth, to Life's facts, blind
Living, walking as dead
Ignorant of God, of Heaven's Way
Wandering to and fro
Like docile sheep drifting astray
Not knowing where to go
Believers in chapels, in churches
Scattered dwellings, on earth
Even life's avid researchers
Know naught of second birth
Though still many may be surprised
Reading the bible through
While only in water baptised
No one, gets born anew
In God's Spirit we must be covered
Deep in one's heart and soul
Truly then, will be discovered
Salvation's touched flesh and bone
The bible's to study through and through
While seeking Jesus' face
Learning of what and not to do
To find eternal grace
Heaven's will, is for all mankind
In His risen Christ believe
Once Spirit and man are combined
Salvation! we'll receive.....
