The Aftermath.
This amazing victory by the Lord against the enemies of God`s people and his land of Israel has some far reaching consequences.
Israel
Israel repents and turns again to God.
`I will set my glory among the nations; all the nations shall see my judgment which I have executed, and my hand which I have laid on them.
So the house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God from that day forward.` (Ex. 39: 21 & 22)
Israel celebrates the feast of Purim, National deliverance. (Esther 9: 18 - 21)
The Nations
The nations of the world call for a cessation of all conflict. They cry for “peace and safety,” in the Middle East. Then into this arena steps a peace negotiator who miraculously brings about a peace-treaty with Israel.
`A king shall arise, having fierce features...through his cunning he shall cause deceit to prosper under his hand...` (Dan. 8: 23 - 25)
`...he shall confirm a covenant with many for one `week,` (7 years)...` (Dan. 9: 27)
However.....`when they say, “Peace and Safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labour pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.` (1 Thess. 5: 3)
The Tribulation will have begun.
