As I began to read Hebrews 12:1(KJV) wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. The Holy Spirit brought to my attention the part of the scripture that reads, “let us run with patience” the race that is set before us. As I thought on what I just read, the Holy Spirit said to me, “no runner runs a race with patience, every runner runs to win.” The Holy Spirit said, “The patience is referring to the first part of the scripture that mentions every weight and the sin that doth so easily beset us.” God knows what weight and sin besets us and after we have prayed for deliverance we have to be patient and wait for our deliverance that will come from the Lord. Don’t quit running (Proverbs 24:16)!! The Lord wants us to continue running but to be patient with our deliverance that will come from the Lord (Isaiah 40:31) (2 Timothy 1:12) (Jude 1:24-25).
