Revival is not a word that is used in the bible, but a word that the body of Christ has used throughout church history to describe an awakening of God’s people, to the reality of His holiness, through His manifest pressence and glory!
In past studies of revival’s, i’ve found that there’s always been a hunger for God’s Glory and His Glory has shown up and produced deep conviction of sin and repentance in the hearts and lives of God’s people.
The welsh revival of 1904 was one such as this. It was marked by incredible conviction of sin. Not only were christians getting convited, but also the unsaved. People were coming under conviction on the streets, in houses, in the workplace and wherever there were people gathered. Over 100,000 people got saved over a period of about 6 to 12 months. God’s glory was everywhere.
The revival is thought to have been started, through a man by the name of Evan Roberts. He sought God’s Glory, every day, for hours and hours. He was a man hungry for God’s pressence and desired to see revival break out in wales. That desire, intensified until he did see revival and became one of the major leaders of it.
This nation needs another awakening, another revival. Sin is running rampant within the world and also the Church. Brothers and sisters in Christ, we need to wake up, we’ve been asleep for too long. We’ve comprimissed too much. I want to speak to you, if there’s sin in your life, get rid of it, because in the end it will destroy you and hurt the people around you, the one’s that you love and who also love you. Recieve God’s grace and mercy, so that you can walk in the freedom that Jesus desires and has purchased on the cross, for you to walk in. Let the fire of the Holy Spirit burn everything that is not of God, out of you. Set yourself on fire and the world will come to watch you burn!
