Think about how one might be better off considering what the Father does for us, rather than what we do for the Father thus putting the spotlight on ourselves in the process.
There is much pride and vanity exhibited among Christians today over their relationship with God. We should be showing more gratitude and less self adoration over the fact we have God in our lives. It is indeed a wonderful thing but it does not make us special in comparison to others. Is servitude a form of elitism in the world of man? We are servants to the Father and each other. We are knowingly blessed with a gift that was made available to all. A gift with the responsibility to inform ALL that they have been likewise blessed. Blessed without strings of attachment to religion.
Many Christians talk about hell or the rewards of heaven, but that is a poor reason to follow Jesus. Jesus was more intent that we focus on the here and now, living in the ideals of the Kingdom rather than remaining rooted in the ideals which mankind holds dear.
What ideals of mankind you may ask? Simply of what's in it for us. Jesus taught instead of the ideals of the Kingdom, of what we could do for others.
