The sun was climbing higher, yet it would pass slightly on one side of that large stone, and it was later in the morning, when it was noticeably dry and very warm. Jecharon said, "We see how the shadow will move around this great stone. It would be good for us to dig deep on the shaded side and further where the shade will move, it will provide us more cool space where we can get rest and catch up on sleep we need after all that tiring walk, through the heat of the day. We would still have another long walk to continue, we might reach that green land that was seen, then."
Hillariah said, "We need that, we will not have water left to go further than that much. We should now call to Yahweh, for Yahweh's help to us through this, to reach the place meant for us beyond this, and let us do this first, before we all sleep here."
Several men there worked at digging deep into the sandy ground around that one side of the huge stone. All were tired, but when it seemed to be enough space for them that was not as warm and away from where the sunshine came, they rested there against the stone, and called on Yahweh for the providential help, with Jecharon and Hillariah leading the others. But soon they were all very tired and started falling asleep.
