Resisting Spiritual Viruses - 2

The schemes of the enemy of our souls are indeed "devices", among them the
sensory seduction that occurs when communications methods are beheld in an uncritical and naive manner. A lackadaisical viewing of these devices opens the mind that is supposed to "take every thought captive" and renders the mind susceptible to winds of a non-God honoring world:

For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. (2 Corinthians 2:5 NKJV).

The Prophet Ezekiel gave a scathing review of backslidden Israel, which had succumbed to the illusion that the "beauty" of other influences was more desirable than following after the living God:

14 But she [Israel] increased her harlotry;
She looked at men portrayed on the wall, Images of Chaldeans portrayed in vermilion,

15 Girded with belts around their waists,
Flowing turbans on their heads,
All of them looking like captains,
In the manner of the Babylonians of Chaldea, The land of their nativity.
16 As soon as her eyes saw them,
She lusted for them And sent messengers to them in Chaldea
.
(Ezekiel 23:14-16 NKJV)

"Portrayed on a wall" or showing on a TV-cell-laptop-PC screen--the images on these devices can be potent snares to the soul that will not consider contexts or what the Scripture has to say about them.

My brothers and sisters in Christ, beware the device virus that so easily ensnares those who are not disciplined in the wisdom of the Lord Jesus! The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob seeks souls who in their trusting hearts, bow to the image of the Almighty:

God looks down from heaven upon the children of men,
To see if there are any who understand, who seek God
.
(Psalm 53:2 NKJV)
