Remove Your Shoes

“The fields are ripe with golden wheat
There’s harvest everywhere
I’ve loosed the shoes from off my feet
To seek my God in prayer

O Lord dear God Your pastures white
Your sheep grow sleeker still
Send forth your servant day or night
According to Your will

You are The Lord there’s none besides
Your God eternal King
The Truth of life who’ll turn the tides
Life’s victory Song to sing

Man’s welfare is of grave concern
The outcome of the meek
For help O Lord to You I turn
Your mighty arm I seek

Please help me through my own Red Sea
Across my Jordan’s flow
Within life’s furnace rescue me
Fighting our common foe

You gave me faith You heard my cry
You gave me strength to stand
And though one day I’m bound to die
I’ll rise at Your command

Through death’s dark vale You’ll comfort me
With crown and robe of white
Your guiding hand in mine will be
Towards Your realm of Light

Through faith in Christ behold this prayer
To You the great I Am
From one who’ll live from one who’ll share
The supper of The Lamb
