REMEMBER SODOM
What do we need before the grave?
How is man born anew?
What can we do our soul to save?
What must in life we do?
The answer comes through Jesus Christ
To those who bear His name
For this God’s Lamb was sacrificed
For this He bore our shame
Yet queues to church grow ever short
To sin, they’re wide and long
Who can receive the true report?
Singing the devil’s song
Who knows what lies around life’s bend?
What plan The Father’s drawn?
Who knows today we’ll see its end?
Missing tomorrows dawn
The moment’s come to take account
Take stock of how we stand
Does life call out from Heaven’s mount?
Or death as Satan’s planned?
We’ve no more time to act the clown
The day of Christ draws nigh
Recall what happened Sodom town
When God came down from high
Remember Noah and his ark
How many walked inside
How many failed to meet the mark
How many scoffed and died
Salvation’s calling out once more
The signs are all too plain
Come now; or knock in vain the door
