2 Peter 1:19
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
2 Peter 1:21
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
That's interesting! If "no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation", then why is it that the majority think that it is?
Why is it that they speculate with their own reasoning and understanding?
Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Proverbs 3:6
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3: 7
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
So...bearing these scriptures in mind, where does the WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING come from? Also, is there a condition to receiving WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING?

So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
Proverbs 2:3
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;

If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
Proverbs 2:5
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
Proverbs 2:6
For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
Proverbs 2: 7
He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
Proverbs 2:8
He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
Proverbs 2:9
Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
Proverbs 2:10
When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
Proverbs 2:11
Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
Proverbs 2:12
To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;
The forces of darkness and the prince of this world manipulate our thoughts on a daily basis in an attempt to undermine that which we hold dear. The forces of darkness in this world use every means at their disposal e.g. all things secular, music, T.V. programming and film, the press and even the opinions of others who lean on their own understanding to undermine the very truth we have received by the Word of GOD.

Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
Luke 8:13
They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
Luke 8:14
And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
Luke 8:15
But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
Luke 8:16
No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.
Luke 8:17
For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.
Luke 8:18
Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.
Turn and hold fast to the WORD of GOD and cling to the TRUTH therein, being grounded on the ROCK of our Salvation, our STRENGTH and our REDEEMER, "the great GOD and our Saviour Jesus Christ".
