Reflections

As things that have been the backdrop to a great portion of our lives vanish and the world becomes increasingly unfamiliar and geared to a new generation, it could be seen as similar to attending one's own funeral as a part of ourselves is gone each time another piece of familiarity disappears.

On the bright side, none of these things were of our own vision or making. They were borrowed moments in life, trends and things we attached ourselves to. Thus they are not who we are, but only representative as a marker in time. Though we may be better or worse for experiencing them, we are still alive with the possibilities that go with who we really are. The ideals upon which we have melded ourselves, not on things or movements which we have surrounded ourselves with.

Can the world be a reflection of each of us? Perhaps. Can we be a reflection of the world? Hopefully not if we are of the Kingdom. Can we be examples in the world of a way alien to it's traditions? Definitely, while there is still time. It ain't over until it's over.
