We once walked with God and through our self centered choice of putting our will ahead of the will of God, we were sent packing from that garden between heaven and earth to learn individually and as a species the error of doing so. Yet man for the most part still seeks to blame others for our misfortunes and downfalls rather than see the problem as being ourselves and this putting of our will ahead of the will of God. Even religion seeks to blame another rather than our own selfish nature. Yet the whole purpose of the Tempter was to show us how weak and what failures we really are while running under our own horsepower. Jesus said to wise up, accept responsibility and change our ways back to being humbler than we imagine ourselves to be, and follow the will of One much wiser than we. Regardless of verses here and there we hand pick to self justify our errant ways, that is the story of the Bible from front to back. Quite simple and unnecessarily smothered by the teachings of man.
