Reading The Bible In 30 Days (or Thereabouts)

Recently, in January, I did a read the Bible through in 30 day (actually I did it in 28 days, it gave me two “catch up” days).

Reading the Bible in large swathes is a different kind of experience than, say, reading the Bible through in a year. You see overviews and themes in a different light. I found this a most gratifying experience and recommend that those who can try it, too! It is a real “game changer” as far as reading plans are concerned

Tips:
  • Use a plain Bible, not a study Bible - you'll be less distracted by all those notes

  • Read with a theme or topic in mind.

  • Get a partner or small group and do this together - mutual positive encouragement and accountability!

  • If you fall behind, don't give up. Just pick up where you left off and keep going. Finishing in 40 or 50 days is still a great achievement.
