The closing Words of Jesus Christ to His early disciples for their mission of making disciples of the Nations has also become the mission of the Church in China. Even the newest converts in the underground Church get the immediate burden to tell everyone of the great Savior of China and the world. Every Christian is encouraged to witness daily and do the work of an evangelist. It has been amazing to hear of the continued growth of the body of Christ in this country. We can learn the lesson from these brethren to ourselves take more seriously the words of Jesus to his disciples when he shared to go to literally the entire world with the Good News message. The Church will never grow unless we tell others. Another fast growing movement in India and many other countries encourages each family that is in the Church to pray for one of their children to become missionaries. Imagine that! A Church of 3 million believers praying for 10,000’s of new missionaries from their own people.
You can hear the heartbeat of the Chinese believers: “We are God’s servants as we witness in love, and with our voices and our very lives. Won’t you start now before the night is upon us? It is Jesus’ command and He says to you and me: If you love Me, keep My commands. And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creation.” Also another young Chinese believer said: “I love to tell everyone about Jesus. And we must work while we still have the opportunity, because Jesus is coming back soon!” Some Chinese believers even believe it is a sin if we are not witnessing to the entire world because they believe we are then hindering the coming of the Lord as he cannot come back until the whole world hears. May we start to share more and more the passion of our Lord for the millions of unreached peoples in fast growing world.
