[FONT="]PROPER AND WRONG LOCATIONS[/FONT]
[/FONT][FONT="]14[/FONT][FONT="] And it came to pass in the morning, that David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent it by the hand of Uriah.[/FONT][FONT="]
[/FONT][FONT="]15[/FONT][FONT="] And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten, and die.[/FONT][FONT="]16[/FONT][FONT="] And it came to pass, when Joab observed the city, that he assigned Uriah unto a place where he knew that valiant men were.[/FONT][FONT="]17[/FONT][FONT="] And the men of the city went out, and fought with Joab: and there fell some of the people of the servants of David; and Uriah the Hittite died also.[/FONT][FONT="]18[/FONT][FONT="] Then Joab sent and told David all the things concerning the war;[/FONT][FONT="]19[/FONT][FONT="] And charged the messenger, saying, When thou hast made an end of telling the matters of the war unto the king,[/FONT][FONT="]20[/FONT][FONT="] And if so be that the king's wrath arise, and he say unto thee, Wherefore approached ye so nigh unto the city when ye did fight? knew ye not that they would shoot from the wall?[/FONT][FONT="]21[/FONT][FONT="] Who smote Abimelech the son of[/FONT][FONT="]
[/FONT][FONT="]Jerubbesheth? did not a woman cast a piece of a millstone upon him from the wall, that he died in Thebez? why went ye nigh the wall? then say thou, Thy servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also.[/FONT][FONT="]22[/FONT][FONT="] So the messenger went, and came and shewed David all that Joab had sent him for.[/FONT][FONT="]23[/FONT][FONT="] And the messenger said unto David, Surely the men prevailed against us, and came out unto us into the field, and we were upon them even unto the entering of the gate.[/FONT][FONT="]24[/FONT][FONT="] And the shooters shot from off the wall upon thy servants; and some of the king's servants be dead, and thy servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also.[/FONT][FONT="]25[/FONT][FONT="] Then David said unto the messenger, Thus shalt thou say unto Joab, Let not this thing displease thee, for the sword devoureth one as well as another: make thy battle more strong against the city, and overthrow it: and encourage thou him.[/FONT][FONT="]26[/FONT][FONT="] And when the wife of Uriah heard that Uriah her husband was dead, she mourned for her husband.[/FONT][FONT="]27[/FONT][FONT="] And when the mourning was past, David sent and fetched her to his house, and she became his wife, and bare him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the Lord.[/FONT][FONT="]

Dear brothers and sisters in the Lord. I want you to know that location can make or mare a person’s success in his or her career. And I want us to use Uriah case as a case study.
In the book of 2 Sam 11: 14-27 David instructed Joab to put Uriah in the deadliest spot of the battle so that Uriah will be killed. I want you to know that there are many children of God today who have been located by their enemies in the wrong locations so that they can never be fruitful. Many children of God today have lost their jobs because their enemies put them in a location where they can easily make mistakes that will lead to the termination of their appointment.
I am using Uriah’s case as a case study here because I am not talking of enemy in general but I am talking of internal enemy. I am talking of enemy that eats, drink and do everything with us. I am talking of the enemy that does the same job with us; I am talking of the enemy that is in the same association, club, union, profession, house, family etc with us. This kind of enemy is so close and friendly with us in the open but behind close doors they desire our destruction. In most cases they have higher authority than us.
If you that is reading this write up know within yourself that wherever city, state or country you have been posted to work is not where you are suppose to be posted to if the posting of personnel has been done properly. Then you better take this write up serious and pray hard for re posting. Or if you know that the duty post or office assigned to you is not what is suppose to be given to you then you have to take this write up serious and pray hard for transfer or reassignment back to your rightful place. If you study Uriah case you will understand that the battle front where David instructed Joab to put Uriah is not his original position in the battle. Every soldier that goes to war can be killed. Uriah is not exempted from that fate that can befall any soldier in the battle field. But the case here is that if Uriah had not been place at the forefront where the battle is hottest according to David’s instruction he probably would not have died. For David to specifically write a letter to Joab to put Uriah at the forefront of the battle means that if David had not written that letter Uriah would have been at a different place which is his rightful position in their military formation. What happen between David and Uriah is also happening in today’s’ world. Some people are placed in certain offices or duty post where whoever works there enjoy a certain benefit like constant tips from visitors to that office or post, , exposure to dignitaries, etc While some are placed in certain offices or posted to certain locations where they are secluded into solitary where they hardly see people. It’s like the offices or duty post where they are posted to is a prison to them. Some are always sent on important assignment that can earn them promotions and awards with ease. While others are sent on very dangerous assignments that has no benefit for the person sent on such assignment. If you that is reading this write up now belong to the later class of people you better pray hard for re-posting.
Being the best among your colleagues is not relevant in this kind of situation because if you study David and Uriah’s case you will realize that Uriah was a very good and dedicated soldier of David. He forego a lot of goodies offered him by David several times 2 Sam 11:8-13 just because of his dedication to duty yet David still killed him for his selfish purpose
If you fine yourself in the wrong office or posting that you know is not where you are suppose to be please don’t wait any longer until you lose relevance in your place of work which may eventually make you loose your job completely, start praying to God now to intervene in your posting now and relocate you to the best offices or duty post in your organization.
Another tragic event in Uriah’s case is that it was through his own hand that David sent the letter to Joab (2 Sam 11:14)
Pray also that your enemy will not use your own hand to cause your destruction. Pray that instead of your hand to carry what your enemy will use to cause your destruction let your hand carry what God will use for sign and wonder like the rod in Moses hand in Exodus 4:2-3, 17, and also let your hand also carry what God will use as a weapon to destroy your enemy as the spear in the hand of Joshua and he hand of Joash in 2 King 13:14-19.
My brothers and sisters; if you find yourself in any of the situation you have just read above where you are wrongly posted or assigned to a wrong office. It is only God that can intervene for you and relocate you to your rightful place. No matter who is orchestrating your down fall. If God comes into your case. That person will be rendered powerless because if God be for us no one can be against us. But God can only intervene in your case if you have given your life to Jesus Christ. If therefore you have not given your life to Christ before now. I will like you to do so now by praying this short pray below.
Lord Jesus Christ I submit my life to you from now on to be my personal Lord and Saviour. Wash me clean from my pass sins and write my name in the book of life in Jesus name. Amen.
