These huge insects were yet larger, and their shapes were vaguely like centaurs, with four legs holding the thorax of each off the ground, with a great abdomen behind, but front limbs held forward in front where the thorax was lifted higher, and the great head of each of the very huge insects was held up vertically from the end of the thorax. Some of these great insects held a broken off branch from a small tree that would be in that valley.
