Praying Again

“I’m praying in the dark again
I’m calling out in fear
Sobbing so much as in the rain
But help seems nowhere near”

“You ask if God’s on Heaven’s throne
And if His love is real
He’d see you crying all alone
He’d know the way you feel

The Lord God’s eyes are everywhere
He hears the merest sigh
With open arms He longs to share
His realm with those who cry

He feels His children’s every pain
Counting their silent tears
For Jesus’ death was not in vain
Though oft it so appears

Who’ll talk to God in humble prayer
Will have no need to shout
For all His children God is there
Of this there is no doubt

It matters not if robed in shame
Nor if on bended knee
Each whisper of faith in Jesus’ name
Has love’s full guarantee

Christ suffered much life’s price to pay
This truth the world should learn
He died for all who’ve gone astray
And rose for their return

So have no fear my darling child
Allow your heart not sink
If you’ll return from running wild
I’m closer than you think”……
