As I survey The Truth on high
As I behold the cross
I see that self must also die
Or suffer dreadful loss
Through knowledge of The Truth I share
Through teachings I’ve believed
I know my cross I need to bear
If life would be received
I know The Truth I Know God’s Word
I know this is the way
I know the truth of all I’ve heard
And so in Christ I pray
Lord hear this prayer to You I cry
Turn not from me Your face
Please give your servant strength to die
Allow me share Your grace
You cleansed me of each spot and stain
You’ve opened wide my eyes
Uphold me in my hour of pain
Whilst now Your servant dies
Lord here I stand and here I plea
Beyond the torn down veil
Beneath this dreadful bloodstained tree
Please help me not to fail
Its not for gold I ask of this
Its not for precious jewel
From all the world I’d gladly miss
If I would die Your tool
To die devoid of Satan’s charms
To die whilst in The Vine
I’m sure I’ll live within Your arms
