Perfection’s not on earth achieved
Although it be our aim
When joining all who have believed
God’s just reward we’ll claim
With those who’ve lain in peaceful rest
Each saint who’s gone before
As bride complete, eternal blessed
We’ll rise through Heaven’s door
Though many years my journey’s run
Though failing here and there
I’ve felt the love of God’s true Son
He longs with us to share

His caring arms so strong
Thank God I made life greatest choice
And sing this wondrous song
Its worth each moment sacrificed
Each effort, every pain
To guarantee I’ll live with Christ
I’d do it all again
I’d bear the cross I had to bear
I’d tread each extra mile
I‘d do it all because I care
To see my Saviour smile
Because I know I’m not alone
I’ll journey to my goal
Because I’ll see on Heaven’s throne
The One who saved my soul
Perfection may elude me yet
But this I understand
My many trials God won’t forget
