Peacemakers Troublemakers

For causing eye and eye to see
For causing strife to cease
Sons of God their names will be
Because they bring such peace

God’s blessings flow where peace is made
Where love goes hand in hand
Their robes of Light will never fade
Within The Promised Land

But woe to those who dispute bring
Who close to peace their door
Life’s victory song they’ll fail to sing
When time becomes no more

The tongue can cause tremendous hurt
Can cause a soul much pain
When evil ways we don’t convert
We live our lives in vain

Gossips can cause ferocious war
Their tongues are never still
The venom from their mouths they pour
Can often lead to kill

Yet when true peace we serve in love
When harmony guides our heart
The sweet reward from God above
Will come and never part

From Satan’s ways we must repent
Be rid of spot and stain
Where peace is truly life’s intent
God’s love will surely reign

For where love’s seed is seen to grow
Where peace is prime concern
Our God’s compassion soon will show
