We travel down life’s gruelling road
Depressed with aching heart
Upon our back some heavy load
Keeps tearing us apart
Behind a mask we seek to hide
From those we tend to meet
So on and on we’ll walk with pride
Admitting no defeat
How oft we find we can’t go on
Our burdens wax too grave
It’s then we turn to Christ God’s Son
Our precious soul to save
It’s hard to walk life’s path alone
Helpless without a guide
Needing Jesus Life’s Corner Stone
Love’s Fire to burn inside
Life comes to those in Satan’s jail
To those still lost and blind
Bringing to light what makes us fail
That dulls one’s sinful mind
Yet others walk far worse for ware
With heads stuck in the sand
Who’ll show them love, reveal they care?
Who’ll lend a helping hand?
Who’ll help to break demonic chains?
Who’ll heed The Master call
Who’ll seek The Lord their lives to change
And help them not to fall
Pouring on wounds love’s oil and wine? Lk.10:34
Fending off Satan’s horde
God sees such acts as love divine
