From Galatians 4:9...
But now that you know God--or rather are known by God...
In our salvation-relationship with Messiah Jesus, it is revealed to us that
God knows us, thus we in turn know him. The knowledge that we are
infinitely understood and loved, even though we are infinitely finite,* gives us
confidence in God's love, power, and just sovereignty.
We are able to empty ourselves of selfish living before God, when we
acknowledge that God, in our covenant relationship with Him, has chosen
to know us through and through.
Thus, we are able to turn ourselves wholly over to His will "in the moment",
even though our understanding of things, of even ourselves, is partial.
We do this by faith, in anticipation of our full redemption when in
God's presence, "[we] shall know fully, even as [we are] fully known"
~ 1 Corinthians 13:12.
Until then, here’s how being fully known blesses followers of Jesus in this life:
Romans 8:26
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we
ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with wordless groans
_________
* All the more reason to praise God for the eternal life offered to us through
the shed blood of Jesus
