Who is this One of whom men dream?
One born as flesh and bone

Who reigns on Heaven’s throne?

This Lord of lords this King of kings
Salvation’s living Bread
This Song of songs creation sings
Who raises from the dead

Is He The One we mortals seek?
The Root of Heaven’s Vine
Power, to children lost and weak
The Tree of Life Divine

Is He The One with wondrous names?
The great I am of yore
The One who kindled hell’s great flames
Who’s life’s eternal Door?

Is He The One of whom we’ve heard?
Who’s true love causes strife
The Truth, the Light, the Living Word
Living Author of life

Is He The One who’s born to reign?
Who’s life has had no start
The One who died who rose again
To dwell within man’s heart?

Is all creation truly His?
Who’s God true Lord and Friend
The One who was who always is?
