Off to the Races …sorta!

Well after my last post I thought I was going to have a peaceful brain dead kind of evening. Around 8 I drew a nice hot bubble bath and sank down in it and just drifted off- literally. I awoke to s mental scene of the children with the banners at the TEN conference understanding the profound sacredness of the moment even though the children probably didn’t have a clue. I guarantee their spirits picked up on it because the spirit always responds to Daddy’s presence and He was definitely moving in their midst that morning. I sat here in the tub reminiscing over how many times God had moved mightily and intimately among His people and sadly it only lasted for that one generation. As flawed human beings we tend to take the easy way out and instead of introducing their sons and daughters personally to the God of their youth they tell them of all God did in their lives without introducing them to Daddy. It happened in Israel and it is still happening in christianity today. We must surely grieve Daddy’s heart.
I am sensing once again the Spirit of God starting to stir. I sense it very strongly in my home church Open Door but I am sure it is stirring the Body of Christ worldwide. This isn’t about a denomination, a particular ministry or even a privileged and select few. Daddy is looking for sons and daughters who understand the highest calling in life is to who you were created to be-a child of God. He is searching the hearts of men and women to find those willing to embrace life with Him as a relay race and marathon instead of just a sprint or a dash. There are those who have gone before us in the faith that carried securely, until they handed it off to us, not just the story of a great and mighty God but they spent their lives as living proof of Daddy’s existence and their heart cry to others was to come and be personally introduced to the Creator of all things including their salvation, their deliverance and their very lives. The Lone Ranger would have been great in the sprint races but I can just imagine he would have been terrible in a relay race. There is no personal glory in a relay race, only the personal knowledge that you did your very best to run the race and pass the baton safely to the one who follows after you. I believe those are the people the Father is looking for. Sons and daughters with the Heart of Jesus inside them to pass on the truly good news personally through their everyday lives. That is what was happening that Sunday morning as the children waved those banners that were nearly as big as themselves. They were being introduced to Daddy in the most natural of ways and it will be forever inscribed within their spirits. What happened that morning can never be gleaned from a book or a video, it is something that requires us to consciously protect and to securely hand off that personal knowledge and introduction to God, Our Father and first born big Brother.
There are probably countless beliefs concerning the future move of God and I feel compelled to share what I am sensing. I believe as the Holy Spirit is brooding over the earth today there is concerted desire to find sons and daughters whose hearts are like Daddy’s own. They aren’t interested in building up ministries or denominations but rather search out the hurting, the outcasts and lepers. Even the walking dead and when they find them they are going to come alongside them one by one and draw them into Daddy’s arms by their own expressions of love and compassion for them. We aren’t going to need great mega facilities, kitchen tables, couches and even back yards are going to become anointed for the setting free of those around us. There is something very genuine and disarming about setting around the dining room table talking and sharing that invariably draws the Holy Spirit’s presence into the mix and that is where people are healed, set free and brought back to life. The Holy Spirit is seeking to find hosts and hostesses ready and willing to be used as vessels to the Glory of God. May you be richly blessed and filled with a holy expectancy for the future.
