God’s Word describes this two edged sword
As mortal flesh and bone
Coming to earth as Christ The Lord
And true life’s Corner Stone
Actual on earth to see alive
Quite clear to understand
Helping life’s journey to survive
Through love and mighty hand
It never slumbers, never rests
It’s active all year round
God’s guiding light through all life’s tests
Will lead to hallowed ground
To learn to use both night and day
To teach, raise up and guide
To read, ponder, faithful obey
And in our hearts abide
We’ll never fall nor will we fail
When to The Truth we heed
Nor will we land in Satan’s jail
When on this fair we feed
It lifts, it scolds, promotes the mind
Quenches the land stone dry
Restores true sight to lost and blind
To seek life’s facts on high
Penetrating one’s very soul
Dividing marrow and joint
Shining its light toward the goal
Of life’s eternal point
Only a fool would doubt its worth
And those defiant die
But faithful souls will flee the earth
