The devil wants to keep us bound
To tempt and to deceive
To lure away from hallowed ground

Who else could bear my loathsome shame?
If not The Living Christ
If not The Prince of purest love
The Servant King divine
Choosing to leave His throne above
To make life yours and mine
Who else but Christ God’s Lamb &Son
Author of true life’s plan
How else can sinful souls be won
If not God’s Lamb as man
Who else knows Satan at his worst?
Who else throughout all time?
Could free each soul the devil’s cursed
However deep in crime
Perfection’s in The Master’s hand
Salvation’s through His blood
Obedience leads to understand
To live The Way we should
