No One To Blame But Me

The reason why I'm harboring such bittterness, hostility, and anger is because I've let the wrong people and their garbage in my house. I let them get too close to me and allowed myself to get too close to them. They were curious about me, and figuered they start talking just to get me to talk to them. But it was all worthless talk; nothing of value nor edifying.

Pretty soon, I started acting and talking like them! And my hot temper I've displayed at work doesn't help matters any cuz they're quick to bring that up and won't let me live it down. They're even convinced that they know me so well! But they don't.

I've never confronted them about it nor corrected them when they ran their mouths too much about personal and spiritual issues concerning me. And because of that, I'm the one who's angry about it, not them. They've forgotten it all and are moving on with their lives. Even now as I'm thinking about this, it makes me angry.

I should have just kept to myself and not talk to anyone. A fellow sister in Christ gave me that advice long ago. And now, I see the wisdom in her advice.

But from now on, they're not getting away with it. I don't go out of my way to tear them down, so neither will I let them do that to me.

Its high time Leah quits being a doormat and a dumping site for people's garbage and start keeping them and all their crap out of my house. And don't let them in, regardless of what they say or do. In this aspect, I'm choosing to be selfish.

Btw, the "they" are non-christians.
