Loving and blessing and doing good to people who persecute us may seem hard. But what we have to remember is that God sends His sun and rain even on our haters. We have to remember that vengeance belongs to the Lord but we are allowed to be angry as long as we don't sin in trying to get even with those who anger or abuse us.
