For those of you that didn't click the link (which I suggest you do), it's a project where some friends/volunteers and I are rewriting the storyline for Steven Universe, because it's changed recently, implanting unBiblical messages and many Christians like myself had loved it before that.
I will ask the other writers and artists to update their work on their blogs too.
I'm not sure where we'll be posting the stories/art, but once I find an appropriate site I'll link to it.
I'm mostly just posting this here as an introduction for people who might be interested.
This is basically a list of all the stories in currently writing as head writer.
Most of them are written like episodes, but I also have two larger, novel sized ones.
They are
•Crystal Gem Origins
The story of Rose Quartz and the rebellion forming on Homeworld and traveling to Earth to fight the war.
•Rose's Baby
The story of Rose and Greg's relationship, Rose's pregnancy, and the Gems' trying to raise her baby after she's gone.
They'll both have over ten chapters. They're both stories about the backstory of the show.
Before we get to my original episodes, here's a list of the episodes that exist that I'm going to rewrite, because of certain implications.
Note~ I'm not going to be rewriting Alone Together, and in taking it completely out of my canon. This is because some people were taking Stevonnie to be a nod to transgenderness and although I don't think that was the intention, I don't want to risk it.
•Jailbreak
Steven must try and escape from a Homeworld ship with the help of a mysterious new Gem.
What'll change- Ruby and Sapphire's relationship will be sisterly (I know Gems can't have literal families, but there is an explanation in Crystal Gem Origins)
•Love Letters
Steven's old best friend comes back and starts crushing on Garnet
What'll Change- Mostly Garnet's view on love and her reasons for rejecting Jamie.
•Sworn to the Sword
Pearl teaches Connie how to sword fight.
What'll Change- It'll be more about Pearl and Connie's friendship growing and less about Rose Quartz.
•We Need to Talk
Greg tells the kids about how he tried to fuse once.
What'll Change- First of all, no reference to Stevonnie. Second, Pearl's reasons for not liking Greg will be more clear, and they will not be the same ones as the episode first intended.
•I Dream of Lazuli (Originally called Chille Tad)
Steven starts having odd dreams after searching for Malachite.
What'll Change- Mostly just the dream Pearl had, since that was the real problem.
I changed the name because this is the one that holds the worst memories for me. It's the one where I abandoned the fandom. So, I hate looking at that title.
Okay, most importantly, here are my originally conceived episodes. Most of these I have not written yet.
•Sisters
When Steven sees Jenny and Kiki- the Pizza sisters- fighting all the time, he enlists the two best sisters he knows to help them get along. (Spoilers- It's Ruby and Sapphire)
• Talent Show
Connie's upset because her parents are making her participate in her school's talent show. She doesn't want to do any of the acts they suggest, and she doesn't want to tell them she's been learning swordplay- something she actually enjoys.
•Rainy Day
A huge monsoon of a storm threatens to destroy Beach City.
•Meet the Universes
Greg's parents come to town, wanting to meet their grandson and the aliens raising him.
•Steven's Birthday
It's Steven's birthday, but he's more worried than happy.
•The Dance
Steven convinces the Gems to go to a small formal event on the beach. (I'm thinking about changing this to a wedding instead maybe?)
•Tiger Shark Scouts
Greg has to take Steven's Boy Scout troop camping.
•Rising Skies
(Kind of a rewrite of Rising Tides, Crashing Skies, but it deviates from the original story a lot.)
Ronaldo accidentally gets the government a little too curious about the Gems.
•How to Train Yourself
Rose Quartz teaches Amethyst to fuse with her so she can train her to have the mindset of a Crystal Gem. (Flashback episode, obviously)
• True Fear
Everyone in Beach City is faced with their worst phobias (Halloween episode)
• Merry Christmas
Steven tries to get the Gems and his dad to do Christmas together. (Yes, Jesus will of course be mentioned here <3)
• Story Time
When Garnet can't deliver her promise to tell Steven a story one night, Steven goes back in time to see it unfold himself.
• We <3 Lion
Lion gets very sick and Steven tries everything he can to make him better.
• Sticks and Stones
Lars makes an offhanded comment about Amethyst that actually really hurts.
And of course, I've got a two parter planned:
•Heating Up
The Gems must venture into the Kindegarten to shut off a malfunctioning machine that could accidently melt the Earth's crust.
• Mysterious Mysteries
Garnet is anxious to figure out what the machine does, and goes a little too far.
I have many other ideas, but these are the ones that I have together the most.
Once I finish these, I will post links to full versions.
Now, one more thing, I've taken a couple other episodes out of my canon (mainly Keeping It Together and Rising Tides, Crashing Skies) because I felt I could work them a little bit better.
