Though born in sin living in shame
I walked hell’s selfish path
Till love revealed a brand new name
Would save me from the wrath
I had but seek The Living Christ
Humbly on bended knee
Learning why He was sacrificed
My sinful soul to free
I’m lifting hands, stamping my feet
Singing life’s victory song
I’ve joined Salvation’s small elite
And know where I belong
How swift true love can change one’s soul
Give sight unto the blind
Can heal a heart can raise one’s goal
Can change an errant mind
My soul is free I’m safe I’m sound
Just like a bird in flight
I’m souring now to higher ground
Towards the realm of Light
Thank God for Heaven’s Lamb & Son
God Holy Ghost within
For every fight each battle won
For those I’m bound to win
I’m thanking God for all His love
For all He’s had to share
For etching my name high above
In answer to my prayer
Within Life’s book, within His hand
