My Job-Hunting Experience

At 18, it was hard for me to get a job that I want because I didn't have any type of experience like work experience, volunteer experience, and skills in add to my resume. Also, I didn't have enough classes I was good at or taking for years to write down in my education section of the resume. So, I have been applying to jobs from familiar grocery stores and restaurants by going to their official websites instead of using job-hunting websites like monster.com or snagajob.com.
I was searching for a job online which was hard for me to get a job. I was filling out multiple job applications for the same familiar stores and restaurants one by one. Like Jewel-Osco, Subway, Burger King, etc. for example. I waited within 30 days or so, just wanted to get called by the job that I had received a job interview. I have received a job interview, but I didn't get the job.
So, I got someone to review my resume and I was told that I need to put down some work experience, volunteer experience, education, and skills on my resume in order for my resume to look good. So, I started to gained some work experience, volunteer experience, and learn some skills and add it to my resume.
Now at 24, I still have trouble looking for a job. But, my resume seems to improved. But, I ask an employee what kind of workers they looking to work what kind of time. She told me "Anytime, Anyday". So, I realized that the next time I filled out a job application. I need to put down both anytime and anyday to increase my chances of getting a job.

Tip: Gained some work experience, volunteer experience, get educated, and learn some new skills.
