So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.

Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup.
which discouraged me from taking communion. I'd be afraid to take communion and don't take it because of that. At age 20, I decided to take communion. I think this verse shouldn't be used when its times to take communion at church. Especially towards youth because this might discouraged them to take communion. Unknowingly, this bread will give them freedom and remember the Lord died for their sins.
