Well hello there! I just saw a post earlier on this evening that inspired me to write this entry. Some people asking for what church some other Christians are attending. Is this information honestly relevant, I ask? I mean sure, if you want to know the general doctrines of those people of course, then it helps. The truth is I disagree with the idea of the denominational identity. See, I attend a Baptist Evangelical church here in the Province of Québec, in Canada. Yes, the forgotten country Canada. Yes, that little country next to the United States. Yes, it is actually in North America too. As Northern as it gets actually.
Anyhow, as I like to tell people, I believe my identity is my Lord Jesus Christ because He gave me my Salvation, not some earthly church. That makes me a Christian indeed. Of course my church is instrumental in this but I think important to remember that I belong not to an earthly church but to the universal and spiritual Church of God Himself. I find that this makes it harder for me to retract myself away from other believers. After all, we are all part of the same family, having the same Lord, God and Father. Aside from some sects obviously, they are not part of our family! But God knows His Church and its adherents because He formed it. That is why I call myself Christian, drawing my main doctrinal teachings from my chruch but the real teachings I want is those of God, those of His Bible.
May the lies be revealed and the Truth set free in everyone and in every doctrine. May God bless you my dear brothers and sisters in Christ!
