Moving

Moved into my new apartment 2 weeks ago and just as I feared, mail deliveries are for all the wrong addresses. Got a water bill for a man living upstairs, a mail from insuarance company for a family living next door, a direct mail for a woman living in a totally different block. I don't really understand why mail delivery is such a hard thing. This is my third time I've come across wrong deliveries since coming to this rural town. I now know the full name of a young guy living upstairs as he probably does mine or another guy living next door to him.

I've just read a book written in 1980's by a man who is about 80 years old now. The guy is famous for telling his surival stories during world war II. His complex birth story, alcoholism, and his philosophy on death... everything was just as I hoped this book would be. I feel sad that people who've experienced WWII are becoming rarer and rarer. I think it is something to be shared, but my grandma never said a word about her experience. The author's foster parents disappeared after the bombing in his city. His baby sister died about a week after WWII ended. He probably stole food or for similar offenses sent to a correctional institution, then finally taken along to his real father's house. He started drinking heavily, however, and he was 2 years behind at school. His life story is so human. He entered politics and I wish there were more politicians like him today. I believe this book is not a best seller or even if it was, it is an old book written 2 decades ago, but I've found something new which I've never heard before from anyone.

I'm not sure if this world as a whole is getting worse like SDA churches say, but I wholeheartedly agree with him that his country is and I can understand if Christ came now to end all stupidities.

I wish to meet childhood friends whom I've never seen after 5 years old. Surprisingly there are several people I'd like to meet - extracurricular teacher who'll probably kill me if he's heard how I've lived after dropping out of his class, 4 other childhood friends who lived in my neighborhood. It feels interesting to imagine living with them in heaven.

I have to make several phone calls including the one with which I have to make a complaint about mail deliveries, pay an overdue bill and start reading e-mails I haven't read for about a week. There are never enough time for what I really want to be doing.
