The Father sees the bride in shame
He sees her lustful ways
She lays aside her bridal Flame
When once again she strays
Deceit becomes her daily bread
Each day to harlot she’ll run
Adultery, in the devil’s bed
A stench to Christ God’s Son
Her wicked deeds are plain in view
No hint to show remorse
So just like man, who’s wife’s untrue
The Groom should seek divorce
Though Jesus knows! His wife’s a fraud
True love, burns deep inside
And so that she should flee the sword
He’ll council still His bride
For many lovers seek her charms
They’d sample all her wares
Would take her in seductive arms
In lucid love affairs
Perhaps the bride would condescend
Would gladly turn about
Her infidelity vow to end
And cast her lovers out
She’d humbly seek her Husband’s face
She’d ask His true advice
She’d beg His pardon and His grace
No matter what the price
But for a while The Groom may leave
Although He’ll feel the pain
He’ll see once more if she’ll deceive
