In church we hear “The Truth is mine”
“My home’s with God above”
But who has Light and fails to shine Isa.60:1
Lays waste The Father’s love
Perhaps such words sound harsh or cruel
Judgemental and absurd
But wisdom sees it as a rule
Through Heaven’s living Word - Mt.5:14
Salvation’s not a trend or quirk
A harbour meant for rest
For light to shine, it needs to work!
To serve and pass life’s test
We must consider those yet lost
Those battered torn and bound
However high our personal cost
Making them safe and sound
Countless may fail many may fall
Suffering scorn and pain
But standing true to Jesus’ call
We live to live again
To shine! The bride must duly arise
In armour fit to fight
Helping, loving, opening eyes
Through Jesus’ wondrous Light
Rise up! From out that snug warm chair
From off your favourite pew
Divide God’s love, show personal care
As Christ Himself, would do
Salvation’s not a frivolous thing
No sermon spoken sweet
With gathered friends nice songs to sing
