I am preparing a review of Lumen Gentium by carefully reading the numbered paragraphs in each chapter and extracting what I see as the key phrases. So far I see no contradictions with things I have always believed about the Church from being taught by the good nuns in Sunday School many years ago. The core of our faith is belief in the resurrection and the trinity, and charity toward our neighbor. So what is the dispute with Vatican II by traditionalists who want to take exception?
