  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Love Your Enemies​

43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. —Matthew 5:43-45 (KJV)

Father in Heaven, Thank You for your perfect love. Teach us how to love, in the way of the Your only Begotten Son. May Your Love shine through us, and reflect from us, just as Your Light shines in the darkness of the world, a beacon of hope, a light unto salvation. Forgive our enemies and forgive us. Your perfect love and justice are true and merciful, a miracle of forgiveness that meets at Calvary's Cross. O LORD, may all the world turn to you, and seek Thy Holy Name. God's will be done. In Jesus' name. Amen
