So many times when death was near
I’ve failed to understand
Just like a fool I’ve walked in fear
Without the Saviour’s hand
In You my God I long to live
Your will in me be done
So now my all to You I give
That You and I be one
In Jesus Christ I place my hope
Yet have but one desire
That I be washed within Your Soap Mal.3:2
And born again through Fire
I humbly come to You my Lord
Refine me pure as gold
For only then I may be poured
Into Your holy mould
Come melt me Lord and make me new
Take up this lump of clay
Remould this child to be like You
For this I long and pray
Your promise Lord I pray inside Ac.1:4
Baptize me in Your Flame Ac 2:2-4
Before You come to take Your bride Ac.25:6
Burn first my chaff and shame Mt.3:11-12
When seven times this child You’ve tried
When free of all life’s dross
When finest gold well purified
I’ll bear each day my cross
Allow me serve beneath Your wing
Till self is finally dead
Then give this child, Life’s song to sing
Once in Your rest I’m led…….
