Looking inside myself again
Thinking of life and death
Present joys, languishing pain
Of Heaven's Holy Breath
Lord! What would I do without You
Without Your Holy Ghost
Without today being born anew
Being the devil's host
How dead I was before You came
More miserable than not
Existing to sin, living in shame
Desiring, best forgot
Debauchery was my life stile
Corruption held my hand
Immorality made me smile
But now! I understand
Life till then, was an absolute waste
Squandering time received
Totally lost, completely disgraced
Until the day I believed
Christ Jesus went through it for me!
Innocent as a dove
Suffering death so atrociously
Displaying His Father's love
Just how, could I thus continue
When guilt knocked at my door
Only fools will evil pursue
Ignorant of what's in store
You came my God, You came in time
Revealing Your Son to me
Showing myself, my debt, my crime
What my future could be.....
