A journey testing souls
Where love and hate rules everywhere
To guide or hide one's goals
Regardless what life confuses
Causes one's soul to stray
Beware caresses and bruises
Can distract from Heaven's Way
However strong, rich or clever
Whole hearted seek the Lord

Salvation's binding chord
The devil's hardly a stranger
More cunning than a snake
Inattentive of danger
