Man is wayward from time of birth
He’s selfish, bent on sin
His noblest deeds are little worth
If truth is not within
But who’ll believe the message told?
Who’ll eat Salvation’s Bread?
Who’ll buy from Him the purest gold?
That raises from the dead
Now who’ll believe in Jesus’ name?
The truth He came to tell?
He came to cleanse man’s heart of shame?
And save us all from hell?
Who else can free the captive soul?
Who else would bear the pain?
Who else would die to make man whole?
And give us birth again?
Yet fools who hold to Satan’s lie
Still blind to his disguise
Believe no hell when people die
No Heaven in the skies
That Jesus Christ was never real
God’s Son is not divine
They’re free to do just as they feel
While drunk on Satan’s wine
But Satan’s song is full of thorn
Full weed and deadly stone
To torture minds of woman born
Each heart of flesh and bone
Who’s heart is cold and void of Light
Who’s deaf to Heaven’s call
Who yet persist God’s Lamb to fight
