When heart and soul we lay Christ down
When faithfully believed
Life’s precious jewels eternal crown
Are inwardly received
Invisible to unsaved eyes
To souls redeemed unknown
Exposes He alone who’s wise
Reigning on Heaven’s throne
Our just rewards in Christ are found
In whom we’re more than blessed
Secretly veiled on hallowed ground
Until life’s day of rest
We live, one’s self The Lord to give
Because of grace received
Living to serve, living to live
With Christ our King above
Regardless pain, how high the cost
Of place to rest our head
We help the weak we find the lost
And raise the walking dead
It’s not by power nor by might
That anyone should boast
But through the council through The Light
Of God; The Holy Ghost
Thus sanctified as Jesus’ queen
We train our ears on high
We lift our eyes to that unseen
And cease to wonder why
Wisdom teaches to understand
Obedience makes us true
Standing as one in Jesus’ hand
