Hell or high water we don't need
Nor devils in disguise
Consuming thistles, thorns and weed
Truly would not be wise
But with thus, has man lived and died
Stumbling day and night
With Satan and devils beside
Devoid of guiding Light
God's living Lamp, God's strong right hand
God's Son, God's Lamb on high
Incapable to understand
Why some live, yet others die
With church not high in desire
Of Heaven, deaf and blind
Facing hell, its pit of fire
With Jesus, not on in mind
Life's only Way to escape now
Life's one true Path to flee
At the feet of Jesus' to bow
Humbly, bending their knee
By bidding Christ as one's Saviour
With Heaven as their Goal
Ending all wicked behaviour
From deep within one's soul
Requesting Life's Fire in one's heart
Life's piercing eyes to see
Receiving thus a brand new start
