We are to flee from the “abomination of desolation” when we “see” it in the company we keep. We are to flee idolatry….COVETOUSNESS….for it brings our mortal bodies desolation.
1 Corinthians 10:14-15 KJV
(14) Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
(15) I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.
When we listen to the good words and fair speeches of religious-sounding men, we hear the “harlot” calling out to us to invite us into their company. Those who go there never return….as they are destroyed by the idolatry that they partake in when they keep company with men who do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ but their own belly. They go to sit in their company only to be carried out by them in a casket at the end of their lives…never knowing the Truth.
His people are destroyed for lack of knowledge as men lead us away from having love for one another (the daily sacrifice) and into their envying, strife, divisions and hatred of one another which is the result of the covetousness of men.
Proverbs 7:7-13 KJV
(7) And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding,
(8) Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house,
(9) In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night:
(10) And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.
(11) (She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house:
(12) Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)
With a “kiss”…the flattering lips of religious-sounding men…does she deceive many….
(13) So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him,
(14) I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows.
(15) Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.
But it is a “kiss of death” if we yield to their flattering lips….for all that go into their company go to their deaths. They die just like the outside sinners of the world.
Proverbs 7:21-27 KJV
(21) With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him.
(22) He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;
(23) Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life.
(24) Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.
(25) Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.
(26) For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her.
(27) Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.
There is no difference between us and them if we listen to the wrong people…and MANY are hearing and following after the wrong crowd. We become one with them in FLESH if we are joined together with them and we perish because her house is the way to the grave for the mortal body….going down to the chambers of death.
1 Corinthians 6:15-20 KJV
(15) Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
(16) What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
(17) But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
We are to flee “fornication”…flee the deceitful mouths of men who preach things for covetousness…idolatry. Our mortal body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. If we commit “fornication” by being joined together with those who use their flattering tongues for their covetousness, then we sin against our own mortal body…..and we PERISH along with them. MANY have perished.
(18) Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
(19) What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
(20) For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
We are NOT to keep company in their denominations with those who call themselves “brothers” and are covetousness. When we understand how serious this is to our own mortal bodies, we are to flee from them….having nothing to do with them. The “destroyer” destroys us if we sit there with them…..we perish without having His life being manifest in our mortal flesh.
1 Corinthians 10:6-10 KJV
(6) Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
(7) Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
(8) Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
(9) Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
(10) Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
We are to be a chosen people….a holy nation….one that shows forth His praise to this dark world by having “eternal life” in the here and now. We LIVE and the world shall see the Life in us as we continue to LIVE without PERISHING away to the grave.
1 Peter 2:9 KJV
(9) But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
The Life of our Savior Jesus Christ is to be made manifest in our mortal bodies. By the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, He shows forth that death to the mortal body has been rendered idle…abolished. He has brought Life and undecaying to Light through the good news and we participate in showing the rest of the world by displaying His life in us. Christ in us also manifests outwardly if we keep His commandments.
2 Timothy 1:8-11 KJV
(8) Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
(9) Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
(10) But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
By the appearing of His life in our mortal bodies….because we have love for one another…doing His commandments, we can then show forth the praises of Him who has called us out of the darkness of ignorance and into His marvelous Light. We can then show the rest of the nations His life within us….being made preachers, apostles and teachers. We shall shine as the stars and lead others toward His righteousness….which gives life to our mortal bodies.
(11) Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
But His people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
Hosea 4:6 KJV
(6) My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
We are NOT redeemed with the corruptible things of religious-sounding men. We are NOT redeemed by the things that our church fathers have passed down to us. We are not redeemed by the teachings, commandments, and traditions of our church fathers which were motivated by their covetousness.
1 Peter 1:17-19 KJV
(17) And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
(18) Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
(19) But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
Let us keep the Passover with unleavened bread….without malice and evil. Let us choose life and NOT death.
Let us choose the life of Jesus over the “life” of “Barabbas”…which means “son of the father”. We are not redeemed by the corruptible things of the church fathers. Barabbas was a “robber”.
John 18:38-40 KJV
(38) Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.
(39) But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews?
(40) Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.
Barabbas was a murderer…..and caused dissension….
Mark 15:6-7 KJV
(6) Now at that feast he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired.
(7) And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection.
Luke 23:24-25 KJV
(24) And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required.
(25) And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will.
Let us not choose to follow after the ways and thoughts of thieves who in their covetousness only come to steal and to kill and to destroy you from off this earth with their flattering lips….the kiss of death. Let us flee from their idolatry…..covetous ways and thoughts. Jesus came into this world so that we might have THE LIFE and have it more abundantly and His life is to be manifested in us…in our mortal bodies in the here and now.
John 10:9-14 KJV
(9) I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
(10) The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
(11) I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
(12) But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
(13) The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
(14) I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
1 Corinthians 10:14-15 KJV
(14) Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
