A letter to a friend...
I know you said you did not know anything about Todd Bentley, so let me tell you a bit...
He wrote an article which has been shown on CF many times...and those defending him completely ignore this article every time its posted...and continue to ask us for evidence of him teaching heresy.
He talks about Bob Jones (of the disgraced Kansas City prophets with the Vineyard church who was his mentor) introducing him to an angel named Emma who walks around throwing gold dust on the faithful.
Number one...you have seen many things revealed to you...have you ever seen a female angel period? I'm betting not.
It just so happens that God dropped this "Emma" in my lap out of nowhere about six months ago...I knew absolutely nothing about it at the time. There was another story that had come up somewhere about something "wonderful" sounding that the Lord was convicting me about something horribly...I checked deep into it and there was the angel "Emma" right in the middle of it all.
That whole thing reeked of false teaching in the end...but at the time it seemed "the past" and irrelevant...I had no idea why the Lord led me to that.
Enter Todd Bentley....all a sudden here is "Emma" again in an article that HE wrote. This time checking into it I find that "Emma" from that other story and this were the same...all connected through Bentley, Bob Jones and the other KC prophets among other people and groups.
These people...including Todd have all written and taught that we are the rightful heirs to God right along with Jesus...and that we, right now, can DEMAND from God our rightful inheritance. We can demand Him to send out his "financial" angels to bring us our rightful inheritance of wealth so that we can be rich and spend it comfortably in this life.
He wrote that...and published that...along with countless other heresies in the same writing. Todd Bentley is not seeing the same things you see.
He talks about gaining wealth and suddenly when he has a revival that can be stretched out for weeks/months...and all that money!!!....
He is going to fall and many are going to fall with him.
Jesus told us not to build our house on sand...those following him so loyally are building on sand.
They defend him vehemently and blindly...when they are challenged they call out "testing" of his words "judging"...and try to scripturally lay guilt trips on us based on that. (part of the problem is that there are some who have "attacked" Bentley in the wrong way and presented the wrong reasons...they were judging and not testing and this has turned the words of those truthfully testing and trying to open eyes into worthlessness).
Those defending him, when challenged, end up acting just like a former false prophet (who claimed he was the angel in Revelations responsible for killing 2/3 of mankind) did when he was tested and challenged...EXACTLY the same. They have stored their faith in this man...they will not admit it. Their faith should only be in Jesus...they have built on sand...when the storms strike, their houses (faith) will fall...just like Jesus said it would.
They see these "miracles" and hear the name of Jesus from his mouth and they are mesmerized. They are blind. All I see are demons sitting around laughing at the foolishness they have deceived men to do.
The "miracles" there are not "miracles"...they undervalue God. You know as well as I do...God does not have to operate like fraudulent "psychics"...he does not have to have his prophets "generalize" an ailment to a huge audience in which there is at minimum a 90% chance "somebody" there will relate to it.
Most of those people claim to have been "healed" of the same ailment many times over! They say, "Hopefully this time the healing will stick!!" God does NOT work like that...when he heals...he heals...period! If its not HEALED its a fraud. Satan's the fraud...not God.
