In general, when we have the privilege of being commissioned by the Lord, we experience great joy in our hearts, directing all passion toward doing what God entrusted us to do. On occasions though, our response is to flee, as Jonah did. Why do we flee from the calling of God? For many reasons, for example:
1. We do not find the word we hear from God agreeable.
2. What God gives us to do dos not correspond with our expectations.
3. Resentments and complexes of the heart raise a hindrance to progress.
4. The method to the means or challenges of the way.
5. Past failures bring to mind that it may be just another failure...
