Shadows may cloud our shallow mind
Where darkness has a throne
Till ignorance makes searches blind
With hearts are cold as stone
Barren becomes our slumbering might
And fruitless grow our days
When void of Truth deprived of Light
And deaf to Heaven’s ways
We need to change the way we think
To evil close the door
Of righteousness to eat and drink
Repenting shame before
With virtue plough our fallow land
Plant love and seed of good
Till once again we understand
And live the way we should
It’s then with God we’d make amends
Examining inside
Seeking the grace that all transcends
That truth be magnified
That selfless love may come to reign
Where souls may find release
Where sinful man may turn again
And find eternal peace
Yet pride of self has first to die
Idolatry must end
Truth will reveal the devil’s lie
And Satan’s knee will bend
The arm of God will do these things
Where man and Christ unite
Where humble souls on eagle wings
Prepare to join the fight
