Matthew 7
2 For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you.
3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but don't consider the beam that is in your own eye?
4 Or how will you tell your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye;’ and behold, the beam is in your own eye?
5 You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye.
Boy, oh boy! I have learned to never look too harshly on the behavior of others. If you do, you might find yourself caught up in that very behavior.
I learned this, as I do most of my valuable lessons, the hard way. I was trying to figure out how to point out to a friend that their behavior was, at best, unrealistic and unhealthy. Well, as it happens, this very thought has come back around to bite me on the bum. I've found myself behaving almost as unrealistically in a totally different situation. Hehehehehe, joke's on me, right?
Well, I just have to give it over to God, lay it at the cross. My Lord warned me (and all of us) there would be days like this.
