Lead Me Lord

“Please help me God, this cross to bear
Come teach me now I pray
Come set me free from Satan’s snare
And help in You to stay

Come help this child to understand
These eyes of mine to see
Allow me take Your guiding hand
To where I ought to be

Come shine in me Your perfect Light
No matter where I go
Lord lead me through the darkest night
And shield me from the foe

When on my own I fail to find
A place in peace to dwell
Open these eyes that yet are blind
That I may flee from hell

Lord lead me through Your Spirit’s touch
Convict me when I’m wrong
Come take away my every crutch
Till victory is my song

Come take my hand through waters deep
Your child, through storms and fire
Please help me climb up mountains steep
To serve You that much higher

You’ve led me ’neath Your healing wings
Till here at Jesus’ feet
I’m saved my God my heart now sings
With joy to every beat

I feel so safe now here with You
Of death I’ve no-more fear
I’ve life and love like morning dew
I’m glad You’ve led me here.
